(More customer reviews)I had this & I ended up giving it to my kids to play with outside in the sandbox. It is not very useful at all for draining spaghetti, or other very hot liquids. The handle on the bottom section is actually hollowed out & when you pour the liquid it tends to run back into the handle and you can get burned when you are lifting it out of the sink. I love Tupperware, but this is a real dud; it is beyond me how this won so many awards.

This 2-piece set won the prestigious Gold Industrial Design Excellence Award. With both pieces locked, you can use it to drain and shake. Unlocked, the shallow top can be used to strain directly from a pot and the deep bottom holds pasta and salad.

OXO Good Grips Plastic Colander, White Review

(More customer reviews)Nice heavy plastic and the handles are great. The one thing I would prefer is to have holes instead of slots for the liquid to drain through. I tend to lose more pasta through them than any other collander I've used before.

The colander has feet so you can pour something into it and leave it in the sink to drain without it falling over like so many of the silicone or wire colanders do. The top piece makes a good skimmer or shallow colander for blanching in a big pot. And of course it has Tupperware quality! I have an older (OK, real old) similar Tupperware model and it's still practically brand new.

Tupperware Double Colander in Green Review

(More customer reviews)Cons: The larger colander of the two is smaller than I'd prefer.
The handle isn't as comfortable as others I've tried.
Pros: It's pretty sturdy.
The second, smaller colander locks into the larger one for a somewhat sealed device that can be flipped over.
Depending on current prices, it may or may not be worth the cost but I struggled to find a solid colander at the big box stores so went with this...
