(More customer reviews)I always found that cereal would get stale halfway through the box. This container gets rid of it!!! Once you purchase cereal place inside the container. No bags or boxes to deal with and it's easy enough to pour that the kids will make almost no mess at all getting their breakfast. This product as well as all other Tupperware products is one that is great at what it does and will last a long time.

Rubbermaid 5161-RD Cereal Keeper Review

(More customer reviews)I actually got on to review it after dropping the container often. I keep it on the top shelf in my pantry. I keep dropping it while searching through the not so well organized pantry.
It stays closed. And when I say closed, the lid doesn't pop off, the container is on one piece, and the snap open lip doesn't open and expel the 2 bags of loose rice it's holding.
Thank goodness, from a kultz to a klutz. It's a great container.
It has a pop top that occ. does come off when you pop the lip. I just remember to put one hand on the top of the container as it rest, then pop the lip. Easy on the arthritis too, I'd guess since it's really just pop up and no worries about dropping it.
Yup. Just happy I don't have to clean up rice. Thank you rubbermaid.

(More customer reviews)I grew up on Tupperware but switched to Rubbermaid as an adult due to the cost.I'm switching back to Tupperware because Rubbermaid's new silicone seals do not last more than a few years and no longer fit on their containers. I'm still using Tupperware from 30 years ago and their design really hasn't changed to this day.

(More customer reviews)I purchased three of these to store cereal. I found the blue lids to be extremely difficult to both snap on and remove off. The manufacturer had instructions on what to do to correct this, which I did, but to no avail, as my osteoarthritic hands make it too difficult. I also found that they don't pour real well with cereal having large pieces, which tend to jam up on the inside of the pour spout. I returned these storers and found easier opening storers of a different brand.
