(More customer reviews)Got these at a Target store nearby, rather than online. This is a really good value, as the same products (not even including the scoops) would cost over $28 if purchased separately.
The large 120 oz holds a 5 lb bag of flour, and I've been looking for a while for a convenient, attractive container for that. I will be stocking up on these to do my whole pantry.
The one-handed, one-motion snap lid is a life-saver, especially if you have kids in the house. If it's not quick and simple, it just doesn't get closed up at my house. With these containers, it only takes a quick smack and it's closed up tight. So convenient, even the 15 year old will do it (I can't tell you how many stale "reclosable bags" of stuff I've thrown away).
For me, these are awesome. I would highly recommend them.

Made of see-through shatterproof Flexiglass, this 10-piece dry-food canister set provides an oxygen barrier 40 times greater than other plastics to keep moisture and air out. The square-shaped stain- and odor-resistant containers come with convenient snap-lock lids fitted with a special silicone seal to ensure airtight storage. The set includes a 120-ounce container that measures 5-1/2 by 4-3/4 by 10-3/4 inches, holding up to 15 cups worth of cereal, chips, flour, or rice; two 64-ounce containers, each measuring 5-1/2 by 4-3/4 by 8-1/2 inches and holding up to 10 cups of sugar, crackers, or cookies; and two 32-ounce containers, each measuring 4-1/4 by 3-3/4 by 6-1/4 inches and holding up to 4 cups of candy, trail mix, nuts, or coffee. A 1/2-cup scoop, 1/3-cup scoop, and a 1/4-cup scoop are also included. The containers can go in the freezer or refrigerator, but should not be used in a microwave or placed near hot surfaces above 120 degrees F. To remove the lid for cleaning, snap open and unscrew the top. The containers and lids should be hand washed only and dried with a soft towel or left to air dry.

(More customer reviews)These containers aren't bad. BUt they are not as good as past tupperware storage containers. These tend to let a little moisture in. I find my sugar and brown sugar get lumpy. I never had that with my old set. But that set was about 29 years old. They don't make things like they used to.

Villeroy & Boch French Garden Charm Canisters, Set of 3 Review

(More customer reviews)I lived in Europe for 17 years (Air force and US Government Civilian) and have over 2000 pieces to my French Garden pattern. I moved back to the USA Aug.2006 and was excited to find these canisters offered on Amazon. They would be a nice addition to my pattern. When I received them one of the lids where missing and I contacted Amazon and Amazon promptly replaced it. Amazon is awesome! The canisters on the other hand are poor copies manufactured in China. The colors are off a bit and there are defects in the glaze. The bottoms are ruff on my granite countertop and the lids don't fit correctly. I will never order another piece of Villeroy & Bosh online, or anything manufactured in China; I will wait to purchase Villeroy & Bosh products until my next trip to Europe where they take pride in their workmanship. !

(More customer reviews)I LOVE these! I had my eye on modular canisters from Tupperware, but this set is a much more affordable option!
Trying to plan the sizes you'll need? Here's what I wish I could have read in someone else's review... What fits in each size?
- 21 cup - Flour. Also the huge oatmeal package from Sams (though there's a bit more than 21 cups of it).
- 16 cup - Misc. bulk items I buy, like noodles. Also if I make a bunch of cookies.
- 10 cup Sugars (white, powdered, brown... they all have a bit of room to spare so you can refill the container before you're all the way out!)
- 5 cup - Carnation Instant Breakfast (I buy it in the can b/c it's cheaper & the whole can's worth will fit in here), 24 oz container of raisins, one package of oreos (minus a couple I eat while filling it), other misc. snacks.
I also have our playdough toys in one of them b/c we always play them in the kitchen and putting them in a canister makes them take up the least space in my cabinet! And I'm going to be using some for craft supplies too. It's surprising how much fits in them, a lot of the time I needed a smaller canister than what I would have guessed b/c the shape of them makes a big difference and they fit a lot more in them than you may think. If you buy them at WalMart, I recommend buying more than you think you'll need and then returning the left overs b/c you really don't know til you start filling stuff up what size you'll need on a lot of the misc. stuff. But if all you want them for is flour and sugar, then just get the 21 cup & 10 cup.
Here's what I like about them:
- They are nice & have a good seal
- Lids aren't hard to get on or off, but they do seal well.
- They stack easliy
- Their shape is great & makes SUCH efficient use of your shelf space that you can fit way more into your cabinets!
- They are way more reasonably priced than comparable Tupperware modular storage
FYI- I got this set at WalMart for only $15!!!!!!! So check your WalMart before buying them on Amazon. WM also sells the individual pieces way cheap too.

Tupperare Jumbo Canister. Red Seal Review

(More customer reviews)This big beauty holds 5.5 liters (that's well over a gallon), but takes up surprisingly little room. I used it to hold a holiday's worth of tomato sauce, but it would be equally good as a dry-ingredient container. If this becomes available again, grab it!

Rubbermaid 7J77 Easy Find Lid Rectangle 40-Cup Food Storage Container Review

(More customer reviews)Size does matter, at least when it comes to storage containers! We have four kids, and cooking for them can be quite a chore. Luckily, it's a chore my husband has. :D He will make 6 or 8 frozen pizzas, or 30 hamburgers, etc., and he can put them all in this container. The only other container we've ever had this big is the Tupperware Thatsa Bowl, and that just doesn't fit in the refrigerator like this does. (It also doesn't store food flat, which is kind of a pain.) This is a container that if (Heaven forbid) someone did something that ruined it (melted a hole in the bottom, etc.) I would definitely replace it.
If I can afford a couple more, I'd love to have them. They would hold one of the 10lb bags of pancake mix we buy at Sams Club.
