(More customer reviews)We had these when I was a kid and they always worked pretty good. But on the old set, the lids were made of the same white plastic as the bodies.
The orange plastic is more "rubbery," so the hinges bind and don't rotate the way they did with the stiffer, more "plastic-y" lids.
So instead of rotating open and closed, the rubbery orange lids just sort of bend in-between the cap and the hinge. The bad hinge rotation makes it a pain to open them because instead of rotating, they just sort of bend out of the way while you are pushing and then go back to half-open once you let go.
Bad decision, Tupperware.
